In collaboration with Ignition Immersive, Canopy Creative brought the historic St Kilda Vaults to life through a cutting-edge NeRF (Neural Radiance Field) and 3D Gaussian scanning experience for the 2021 Open House Melbourne event.
Our team digitally captured the Vaults with ultra-precise neural scanning technology, creating a photorealistic 3D model that preserved every architectural detail. We then animated the virtual space, layering in sound, motion, and visual storytelling to immerse users in the hidden history of the site.
This digital reawakening allowed audiences to explore the Vaults like never before, interactively and from anywhere, combining archival material and modern animation to educate and engage the public in a fully immersive, spatial storytelling experience. The project exemplifies our approach to blending history, architecture, and storytelling through emerging technologies.
